Unite against Hate has got the Blues
The newly crowned Miss Northern Ireland,
Lori Moore, officially launched the second annual Belfast City Blues Festival
at the John Hewitt Bar in Belfast. The festival will promote the Unite against Hate campaign, a campaign close
to Lori’s heart. Lori, who is the second mixed ethnicity Miss Northern
Ireland since 1970s, said: “I am delighted to not only launch the
festival, which celebrates so many legendary musicians from around the world in
my home town, but I am thrilled that the festival will be increasing awareness
of the Unite against Hate campaign. It’s encouraging that people in
Belfast and indeed Northern Ireland are becoming more open minded. We are
embracing all types of diversity and campaigns such as Unite against Hate
reinforce the message to challenge prejudice and hate crime that attracts so
many negative headlines in Northern Ireland.” Read more HERE.
