Charlotte Street Schoolhouse - July, 1970

A Famous Building In B.B. History. Erected in 1870 by the old Magdalene Episcopal Church, Donegall Pass.  William McVicker, Superindendent of the Sunday School here, formed the first Irish Company of the Boys’ Brigade in this schoolhouse on 29th October 1888.  There were 40 boys on the first night’s enrolment.  (Corner of Rainey Street.)  Red doors and window frames.
